Website Congressional Hispanic Caucus

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus addresses national and international issues and crafts policies that impact the Hispanic community. The function of the Caucus is to serve as a forum for the Hispanic Members of Congress to coalesce around a collective legislative agenda. The Caucus is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates must:
    • Be a U.S. citizen, have a science background
    • Have or finalize by August 2024 a Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in climate, environmental science, or a relevant field
    • Be able to translate complex ideas and dense topics into easily understood written and verbal communications and have a desire to combat climate change through pragmatic solutions

Additional Information

The fellowship is designed for individuals studying communications, journalism, political science, or public relations who are eager to delve into the world of political communications. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training on various elements that will catapult their professional success, including media strategy, press releases, communications crisis, and social media management. They will also have the invaluable opportunity to establish connections with influential representatives in Washington, DC.
